Description
Monkey 47 Schwarzwald Dry Gin is produced by Black Forest Distillers in Loßburg, Germany. The gin takes its name from the 47 botanicals used in its production and the 47% ABV at which the standard expression is bottled. Drawing on the story of Montgomery Collins, a British RAF officer who settled in the Black Forest after the Second World War, the brand blends British gin tradition with Black Forest botanicals, including the regional cranberry known as Brassica juncea.
The Distiller's Cut is an annual release in which master distiller Christoph Keller selects a single featured botanical to distinguish that year's edition. This 2018 expression is presented in the characteristic amber apothecary-style bottle with cork stopper and is accompanied by the distinctive metal-cornered wooden presentation case. Bottled at the distillery, presented in a 50cl format.
