Bowmore is one of Islay's oldest and most celebrated distilleries, situated in the heart of the town of Bowmore on the shores of Loch Indaal. It has been producing single malt Scotch whisky for well over two centuries and remains one of the most sought-after names from the island.
This expression was distilled at Bowmore in 1990 and matured for 34 years before being bottled in 2025 by Murray McDavid under their Aficionado series — a luxury collection of vintage Scotch whiskies drawn from some of Scotland's most lauded distilleries, matured and finished in a variety of fine oak casks. Bottled at 41.4% ABV from casks #3415A/B, with a total outturn of 160 bottles. The Aficionado range is described by Murray McDavid as a Limited Release.
