Springbank Distillery, founded in 1828 and situated in Campbeltown on the Kintyre peninsula, is one of Scotland's most celebrated and traditional distilleries. Independently owned by the Mitchell family, it is renowned for handling every stage of production — from malting to bottling — on site.
Distilled at Springbank in April 1997 and matured for 28 years in a single hogshead (cask #332), this expression was bottled in April 2025 by independent bottler Whisky Business at 44.6% ABV. Released as part of The Inventors Series, itself a component of the Great Scots Collection, this bottling pays tribute to Alexander Graham Bell and his invention of the telephone in 1876. The outturn was a total of 88 bottles; this is bottle 52. This is a Private Single Cask Bottling.
