Description

Founded in 1895 in Elgin, Gordon & MacPhail is arguably the most influential independent bottler in whisky history. They hold one of the largest and oldest private whisky cask collections in the world, with legendary releases from closed distilleries such as Port Ellen, St Magdalene, and Glen Mhor. G&M’s ranges include Connoisseurs Choice, Private Collection, Distillery Labels, and ultra-aged bottlings such as 70, 75, and 80-year-old whiskies. For decades, they matured spirit under long-term contracts with distilleries, giving them unparalleled access to rare new make. Today, they also operate Benromach and the newer Cairn Distillery, continuing their tradition of quality.

Highland Park was founded in 1798 on Orkney and is one of Scotland’s northernmost distilleries. Known for its balance of gentle smoke, honey sweetness, and heathery character, the distillery uses local Orkney peat and maintains traditional floor maltings for a portion of its production. Now owned by Edrington, Highland Park offers a wide range of age-stated and Viking-themed bottlings. Its maritime climate and unique peat composition contribute to a distinctive flavour profile that blends smoke, spice, and aromatic sweetness.

Distilled on the Orkney Islands at the Highland Park distillery, this 8-Year-Old single malt showcases the rugged character of its northern origin. Bottled by the esteemed independent bottler Gordon & MacPhail at 70 Proof.
