Springbank Distillery is set to celebrate its 200th anniversary in 2028. The Countdown Collection is a five-part series, featuring a bottle launched each year until the milestone is reached. This is to commemorate Springbank's journey towards its 200th Anniversary.
Springbank - 30 Year Old - Countdown Collection - 2022 Staff Only - A very limited expression from the Campbeltown distillery, Springbank. Released in 2022, this 30-year-old has been bottled at 42.1% ABV. This release is part of the countdown to the 200th anniversary in 2028 and was gifted to staff who work at the distillery.
Springbank - 27-Year-Old - Countdown Collection 2023 - this is the first release in the series. Aged for 27 years, the 2023 release was made from a marriage of three casks: one refill bourbon cask and two refill sherry casks, which have been nestled in the Springbank warehouses for their entire maturation. (47.1%). One of 500 bottles.
Springbank - 26 Year Old - Countdown Collection 2024 - This is the 2nd release of the series. Aged for 26 years, the 2024 release was made from a marriage of three refill Bourbon hogshead casks which have nestled in the Springbank warehouses for their entire maturation. This 26-year-old release answers whether Springbank would increase or decrease the age statements in the countdown. This is limited to just 500 bottles. (51.2%)
Springbank - 30 Year Old - Countdown Collection 2025 - This is the 3rd release of the series. Aged for 30 years, the 2025 release was made from a marriage of three casks: one fresh bourbon cask, one refill bourbon cask and one refill sherry cask, which have nestled in the Springbank warehouses for their entire maturation. This is limited to just 500 bottles. (47.3%)
Springbank - 29 Year Old - Countdown Collection 2026 - This is the 4th release of the series. Aged for 29 years, the 2026 release was made from a marriage of three casks: Two Refill Sherry Hogsheads and One Fresh Rum Barrel, which have nestled in the Springbank warehouses for their entire maturation. The use of rum casks for maturation is relatively rare for such long-aged Springbank expressions, making this penultimate release in the series particularly distinct compared to the previous 2024 (26 Year Old) release, which was aged in three refill Bourbon hogsheads. This is limited to just 500 bottles. (50.8%)
