Description
Auchroisk Distillery, founded in 1974 in Banffshire, is one of Scotland’s younger Speyside whisky producers, created primarily to supply malt for blended Scotch. Its name, meaning “shallow ford across the river” in Gaelic, reflects its location near the Burn of Mulben. Auchroisk’s style is known for being light, fragrant, and subtly fruity, shaped by tall stills and a clean distillation profile. Although much of its output goes into blends, it has gained recognition through bottlings like “The Singleton of Auchroisk” and various releases in Diageo’s Flora & Fauna range. The distillery continues to produce a distinctive, approachable Speyside malt.
Distilled in 2010 at Auchroisk distillery, it lay maturing in 1st Fill Oloroso Sherry Butt and was bottled for Signatory for their 100 Proof Edition #12 at 57.1% ABV.
