Founded on Christmas Day 1887 by William Grant and his family, Glenfiddich is the best-selling single malt whisky in the world and one of the few distilleries still independently owned. Located in Dufftown, it pioneered single-malt marketing in the 1960s, helping ignite global demand. Its spirit is known for pear, green apple, and honeyed notes, produced through long fermentation and tall stills. Glenfiddich maintains in-house coopers, coppersmiths, and bottling facilities. The distillery continues to innovate with cask-finishes and experimental releases such as the IPA and Project XX editions, while sustaining a wide, age-stated core range.
