Warehouse No.3 is the oldest of Glenmorangie's original 19th-century warehouses at the distillery in Tain and was used to mature the very first Glenmorangie single malt.
It has sandstone walls, an earthen floor, a slated roof with solid oak beams and is the warehouse nearest to the coastline of the Dornoch Firth.
This location and the natural materials of the building create the perfect conditions for the developing whisky to breathe during its slow maturation over ten years in 'first fill' casks previously seasoned with bourbon.
The result is an elegant whisky of great finesse with a subtle sweetness, notes of vanilla and refreshing spiciness.
