Description
Château Lagrange experienced a renaissance in 1983 when its vineyards and winery were overhauled and renovated by its new owners. It’s since risen to become one of the finest estates in Saint-Julien, producing wines that far exceed its status as a Bordeaux Third Growth. The grapes for this Grand Vin are grown on a single vineyard stretching over two Gunzian gravel slopes – one of which boasts the highest point of the commune. After spending a decade maturing in bottles, the wine’s tannins have been softened and its flavour profile has evolved to develop delicious tertiary notes.
