Description

Part of The Anecdotes of Ages Collection, this is an extraordinary art and whisky collaboration with Sir Peter Blake. Being the third collaboration between the Macallan Distillery and Sir Peter Blake, this single malt was created to commemorate Sir Peter Blake's visit to The Macallan Estate. An Estate, a Community and a Distillery tells the story of some of the colourful characters from the distilleries past and present and features a label designed by Sir Peter Blake.

Along with this unique bottle of whisky is a scroll of artwork showing Sir Peter Blake's distinct style and a certificate detailing the history and heritage on which Sir Peter's art was based. There is also a piece of tracing paper which provides information on each character from The Macallan's history that Sir Peter chose to include in his art.

At 47.7% ABV, this malt is a warm and inviting classic, rich in dried fruits and spices with a hint of orange and clove.

Prior to any bid being placed on a lot, close up visual inspection is to be carried out. If you are unsure in any way about the condition of the said lot, click “ask a question” above. More in-depth descriptions and additional photos can be taken upon request. Otherwise, lots are sold as seen in the pictures. The bidder understands that once you have bid, you are stating you understand this and that the checks stated above have been carried out and you are happy with the lot's condition.

TGWA may try to highlight conditions of interest of lots being sold in the auction. The majority of the items being sold are of second-hand nature and TGWA cannot be held responsible for any conditions that may not have been specified when listing the lots on the site. Thus, the bidder fully understands, prior to confirming a bid they are happy with the condition of the lot, whether it has conditions noted or otherwise.

Should there be a discrepancy between the photo and the lot title/description, the photograph holds the precedent. No claim can be lodged against a misdescribed item as all lots are sold as seen.

Due to the various ages of bottles and their seals, the condition of liquid is at the buyer's discretion and no claim can be lodged against failure/leakage in transit. Loss and breakage cover is available at 3% of the hammer price as standard. If the lot is not insured, no claim can be lodged against the courier or The Grand Whisky Auction for breakage or loss in transit.
