Description

This lot contains 3 x 70cl bottles -

The isle of Arran is known for great whisky and equally stunning views. The distillery has been established since 1995 and swept the whisky nation like a winter storm passing over the Island!

The first single malt from the distillery was a limited edition 3 year old in 1998. 

  • Chapter 1 - this bottling has been made up from 24 casks with the casks being Sherry Butt, Bourbon Barrel and Sherry Hogshead from 1996- 1998 and 2006 which was Arran peated giving a smoky edge. Bottled at 52.3% ABV there was only 6600 bottles released.
  • Chapter 2 - made from 10 Bourbon barrels which 4 of them are 2004 peated arran and 17 Sherry Hogshead this bottling has used casks dated back to 1997 -2002 and 2004. Again this bottling was limited to 6600 bottles and was bottled at 53.1% ABV.
  • Chapter 3 - released in 2014 and the final release of the series. 21 casks were used - 21 casks were used and the following combination made up the vat - 8 Oloroso sherry casks, 8 French oak barriques, 5 bourbon casks. Only 6600 bottles were released again, this bottling was bottled at 53.4% ABV.

Loss and breakage cover is available at 3% of the hammer price as standard. If the lot is not insured, no claim can be lodged against the courier or The Grand Whisky Auction for breakage or loss in transit.
