Description

This exclusive series of bottlings were produced to celebrate the 12th Whisky Show, which in 2020 had to be a digital event.

Three single casks were selected: Imperial - 26 Year Old (1994), Ardbeg - 20 Year Old (1994) and Girvan - 30 Years Old (1989). The selection explores different aspects of whisky-making themed ‘An Ever-changing World of Whisky’; The releases are sptly named;  The Ever-changing World of Impossibility, The Ever-changing World of Order and The Ever-changing World of Artificial Intelligence.

Imperial - 26-Year-Old (1994) - ‘The Ever-changing World of Impossibility’  - described as an “abstract play on illusion and impossibility”. Distilled on the 22nd of August 1994 and bottled on 11th of September 2020 (45.3%ABV).

Ardbeg - 20 Year Old (2000) - ‘The Ever-changing World of Order’ - Celebrates Ardbeg's combination of technology and craftsmanship. Distilled in April 2000, matured ex-Bourbon hogshead and then bottled on the 5th of August 2020 (57.2%).

Prior to any bid being placed on a lot, close up visual inspection is to be carried out. If you are unsure in any way about the condition of the said lot, click “ask a question” above. More in-depth descriptions and additional photos can be taken upon request. Otherwise, lots are sold as seen in the pictures. The bidder understands that once you have bid, you are stating you understand this and that the checks stated above have been carried out and you are happy with the lot's condition.

TGWA may try to highlight conditions of interest of lots being sold in the auction. The majority of the items being sold are of second-hand nature and TGWA cannot be held responsible for any conditions that may not have been specified when listing the lots on the site. Thus, the bidder fully understands, prior to confirming a bid they are happy with the condition of the lot, whether it has conditions noted or otherwise.

Should there be a discrepancy between the photo and the lot title/description, the photograph holds the precedent. No claim can be lodged against a misdescribed item as all lots are sold as seen.

Due to the various ages of bottles and their seals, the condition of liquid is at the buyer's discretion and no claim can be lodged against failure/leakage in transit. Loss and breakage cover is available at 3% of the hammer price as standard. If the lot is not insured, no claim can be lodged against the courier or The Grand Whisky Auction for breakage or loss in transit.

Graphs are for information purposes only. TGWA accepts no responsibility for any errors or omissions in the data plotted. All bidders should also carry out their own research prior to any bids being placed.
