Isle of Islay whisky for auction

The majority of Valinch bottlings are all 50cl and all single casks that are available from the distillery. If you know and have been to the magical island you too can take part in the hand-filling process. The term Valinch is a piece of old whisky terminology that comes from the Spanish & French. It is the word for a pipette that takes the samples from a cask. These bottlings were introduced to the public after the distillery was purchased in 2001 by Murray McDavid.

This special release was bottled to commemorate the visit of Henry Stephenson of Sainsbury on the 22nd of October 2003. This refill sherry #160 yielded only 25 bottles.
