Description

Glendronach, located near Forgue, is one of the biggest names in Whisky. It was previously owned by the BenRiach Distillery Company and was founded by James Allardes in 1826. Previous owners include Teachers and Sons, who put in four new stills in their time of ownership. The distillery went through a tough period being mothballed in 1996 but reopened in 2002 with Allied Distillers at the helm. The distillery like Benriach still uses its own floor matings and looks like its here to stay since its now protected as a category B listed building.

This bottling from the 1980s is a blast from the past when the distillery was owned by Teachers.
