Description

In 1848, the Royal Warrant was awarded to the distillery following a visit from Prince Albert and Queen Victoria. The distillery was mainly producing whisky to be part of Scottish blends, however, John Beggs blends became so famous, the distillery was bought by John Dewar & Sons in 1916.

Diageo is now the proprietors of the distillery which is unusual because of their low capacity. This is an early example of a bottle from the 1980s after being matured for at least 12 years.
