Description

A legend in the Islay, Scotland and the Whisky world. This is the very first edition of the Bowmore Black Series. It was distilled in 1964 and matured for 29 years in a Oloroso sherry casks before being bottled in 1993 when it took the world by storm! There were only ever 2000 bottles released, all of which were matured below sea level and are now individually numbered.

When the bottle was first released it cost around £70 to buy from the distillery and now its one of the most recognisable and famous bottles of Scotch Whisky in the world.

There was a recall on these bottles from the distillery due to leaking wax capsules however this plastic version is very common and now hold a better seal for this very unique bottling.
