Speyside Whisky for auction

Would you believe us if we told you that for most of the 20th century, the now world famous Macallan was used as the main ingredient of blended malts....

The 1980's was a real turning point for the brand when they moved their focus onto producing some of the finest malts we sample today.

Their success saw them build a piece of architectural genius in their new distillery in 2018. Perched on the hillside it blends in beautifully to the surrounding landscape overlooking the famous Easter Elchies House.

This particular release came to market in 2014 as part of their super-premium range. It is part of the 1824 series and was matured in Spanish and American first-fill sherry 'seasoned' casks.

Minor tarnishing to silver bottle top.
