Description

Distilled on 7 February 1969 this is a bottle of the 1st release of Balblair 1969. It was matured in ex-bourbon American oak hogsheads, and bottled at cask strength in 2012.

Presented in wooden case with a certificate of authenticity.

The distillery was built in 1790 by the Ross family and in 1872 they moved to a new site in order to make use of the newly built railway between Wick and Inverness.

The distillery closed in 1911 for a short period but aren't we thankful it is around today if this bottling is anything to go by!

This is bottle number 498 of 999.
