Description

Part of the Gordon & MacPhail private collection comes the Islay giant that is about to resurface, Port Ellen. 

Filled on the 11th of December 1979 into cask 7236 a refill sherry puncheon. It lay to mature for over 40 years before being bottled on the 19th of December 2019. Only 407 bottles were produced from this cask which was bottled at cask strength 54.7%. 

It has rich aromas of sun-ripened red apple with a delicate sweet spice.
