Murray Mcdavid brought this distillery back to life in 2000 after it was closed by Whyte and Mackay. Jim McEwan has been instrumental in building this brand up from the ground. He has been hugely successful in his extrovert ideas with regards to cask management, quirky bottle colours, heavily HEAVILY peated malts and now they are even making Gin too!

The story behind this bottle is that one day a fisherman came across a small yellow submarine. The ministry of defence denied any connection with it of course and so did the Beatles...
