Description

The vineyard in AOC Saint-Julien is located on a low plateau and is situated next to Cussac. The soil here, in most plots, is remarkably similar to Lotour. Built in 1565, this Chateau was by Bishop Francois de Foix-Candale. There has been quite a few owners in its colourful history and at the time of writing this, the drinks giant Suntory and castle group are mutual shareholders of Grands millésimes de France. This vineyard covers 90 hectares and boasts a grape variety of 62% Cabernet Sauvignon, 31% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot. Found in the Médoc region, Château Beychevelle has become one of the leading names! Château Beychevelle has a high proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and a touch of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot to give a great finish. Found to be very well balanced and delicate, the vineyard has a very strict selection process by choosing only the highest calibre of grapes.
